FK12 Precision Fiber Optic Cleavers
Lab-grade fiber optic cleaver using ultrasonic cleaving technology with selectable cleave angle 0–15° for high-return-loss terminations.

Overview
The FK11 and FK12 fiber optic cleavers both use ultrasonic cleaving technology to produce flat, defect-free end-faces. The standard FK11 is designed for cleaving standard telecom fibers in preparation for fusion splicing and testing, with variants for large-diameter cladding (FK11-LDF), small-diameter fibers (FK11-SDF / USDF) and coated cleaving (FK11-C). The FK12 cleaver produces similarly low cleave angles to the FK11, but its primary application is creating cleaves with a user-selectable end angle for low-reflectance terminations.
Key Features
Tensions Before Cleaving
Tensions the fiber prior to cleaving to prevent end-face damage
Low Cleave Angle (FK11)
Low end angle for low-loss splicing
Adjustable 0–15° (FK12)
Selectable cleave angle for optimal end reflection and loss
Long-Life Diamond Blade
Long-life durable diamond blade for extended use
Wide Fiber Compatibility
Variants for a variety of fiber diameters and through coatings
Easy to Operate
User-friendly design that minimizes training
